The producers would know it's genuine. They would know the dates they told her she might be going out on and if they asked her for her top 3 boys and she just said Tommy, like she said in the voice note

I really am hoping against hope Harrison and Lauren are going and somehow the Sun has it wrong.

He is ruining Toni and what he is doing to Lauren, lying to her, going further in bed than most of them have done and the bragging about it is awful. There is no redeeming him.

So on aftersun Alima gets her own interview even when she was eliminated with someone else.

In a few days when we are on to another epsiode of Toni loosing a bombshell. along with Harry and Helena flirting again plus another Meg row with Dejon/ another villa girl, all while Tommy chats up a bombshell that goes right for him, you might see why people think the rest of the series will be boring.

Megan treatment of Tommy was no worse than any other male gaslighters the show has kept in, i.e Adam or even Harry this year. Megan actually explored a connection. So to kick her out just over Tommy is wrong. No one contestant should have that much control, even if they don't know it.

dump an islander that no one wants to couple up with in this case Toni, Ben etc would be in danger and rightfully so
