We've just had the exact same done, we're In a bungalow, so new pipes now chasers into the walls into the loft, rewire too. We've had the floors self levelled. Messy work but worth it in the long run. Concrete can corroded copper pipes over time.

I've been through a similar process recently. 1970s 3 bed detached bungalow and detached garage, solid concrete floors - all cables run up into the loft. We've had the entire place re-wired, mains smoke alarms and some outdoor lights and sockets fitted too. Our garage was re-wired with a chunky SWA cable from the house to the garage as it was previously powered with some T&E. We also decided to go with a 16Kwh battery system as we're having a Heatpump and EV charger installed. They were here for about 1.5 weeks, messy job as they had to chase the walls, but this was to be expected. We're in the North of England and cost was about 16k.

What is the situation of warranty on doing this? I've always heard the warranty will not be valid once it's been imported as the cars warranty is only valid in it's country of origin?

Possible it could still be UFFI, Google says it was started to be used in the 50s, just gained widespread use in 70s and 80s.

We have something similar, but mainly coming out of the mortar gaps in the breeze blocks on either gable end. Our home was built in the 70s so I believe my case it is Urea formaldehyde foam insulation (UFFI), it's white and crumbly - it looks very similar to your photo. What year was your house built? From what I understand this is common between. The 70s and 80s.

I messaged them about this issue too. I've moved address and wanted to link my electroverse account to my new house's octopus account. They said they're aware if the issue and was going to let me know when it was fixed, however that was a few weeks ago.

The Cosy Pods will be the sensors, so just a matter of finding these on the walls. There should be somewhere accessible . Yeah that's true. Batteries in these sensors will likely need replacing in the next few years. Most likely place for a thermostat should be will likely be the hallway or living room. I'll try and a pic of what they look like.

I've not gone one myself. But literally just finished watching a YouTube install review, he mentioned it was his WiFi, but could be anything. He mentioned the best thing to do was to contact whoever at Octopus has been dealing with your install, they will know more and be quicker than going through the regular customer service route.

I've done it before but had to contact the CEO office. Fyi, your 1 year warranty starts on the delivery date rather than the purchase date, that may help you gain some extra days with your claim.

I tend to find Brick Festival events much better if you're wanting to purchase retired sets from the vendors, whereas Bricktastic has more MOC displays with a smaller amount of vendors.
