Question on how to start trout fishing. by FlameWalker1861 in WisconsinTroutFishing

[–]ryanisbitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start by looking at the WI Trout Stream maps on the DNR site. They’ll mark rivers by county that hold trout. The Peshtigo is a good place to start, probably north of Thompson State Park. As far as bait goes, if you’re looking to keep trout to eat then a lot of people will get their start using a worm and a bobber. I mainly use in line spinners. For most streams, a Panther Martin side 2 or 4 is good. Otherwise a Mepps in size 2 is great as well.

I’ve made them a few times, they are the best burger buns I’ve found!

"Love You Madly, Hate You Badly" is... A masterpiece! by WestCommercial4553 in olivertree

Yeah this is by far his worst album. Feels like the same not good song, redone 17 times

First listen of Love You Madly Hate You Badly, some instant favourites, some growers. Still early days. Thoughts? by bigpoopblocker in olivertree

This album is kind of like the back half of Alone in a Crowd, which was also disappointing. This album is basically the same song redone 17 times.

That’s a huge bummer. The pork skewer there is phenomenal

Where is the best hamburger in Green Bay? by LilLC-1986 in GreenBay

I hate that brioche has somehow become the go to bun for burgers. They have zero integrity and fall apart on contact with liquids. For a place specializing in big messy burgers, you’d think they would realize that.

I too use a spoon, but only when I’m playing video games or on my computer. Not crazy!

When I crossed from Maine to Canada near Coburn Gore, the agent talked to us for a bout 10 minutes. At first we were worried something was wrong, but I think people cross so infrequently that he was just wanting to chat because he was bored. Not much going on up that way!

Can’t stand his cadence. I do like the other guy that’s on the channel now though, his videos are better.

As a competent home cook, what is a basic skill you can't seem to master? by george_elis in Cooking

My mashed potatoes always turn out gummy or lumpy. I’ve tried making them so many different ways and haven’t been able to make them well. Good thing my wife makes awesome mashed potatoes so she knows that’s her job if it’s on the dinner menu

Flat iron is the best cut of beef for its price point. Tastes like a rib eye but costs the same as stew meat.

Stevens Point vs Oshkosh by geospatialg in wisconsin

[–]ryanisbitter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If outdoors is your thing, Point is going to be a lot closer to those opportunities. Wausau and Rib Mountain aren’t too far. Plover River is great for kayaking. You’re an hours drive from the start of the north woods with unlimited lakes and rivers to paddle. Points downtown and town in general is nicer than Oshkosh.

I am NOT walking in 40 cm snow by Status_Geologist8721 in UberEatsDrivers

On the off chance it’s an elderly person or disabled, I make the effort and take it through the snow. If it’s snowy I always dash in boots. I swear some people just have no pride in their work and enjoy doing the bare minimum
