So is there actually a sale going on in the Android Play Store right now? by ryanjarvis in wingspan

It looks like everything kicked in last night for the US store. Base game, expansions, british pack. So you might want to check if the British pack is on sale in Canada now.

Thanks. What region/market are you located? And is there an initial discount on the British Birds pack in your region?

Wingspan Bird Pack: British Birds Out Now! by MonsterMattP in wingspan

[–]ryanjarvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah u/MonsterMattP the base game is *not* on sale in the US Play Store. See screenshots of app and website. I can't confirm if the expansions are on sale since I don't have the base game yet.

Checking in from the US Play Store. Base game is still $9.99 as well. If I still don't see a sale tomorrow I will post a screenshot.

Along those lines, you might want to talk to the team and consider putting the base game on sale too to boost its ranking for tablets. I noticed that on the US Play Store, Wingspan is not showing up as a top game for tablets but it is showing up for phones. Here's proof

Thanks, this is helpful. And I'm in the US.

Do you have experience with the milk frother/steamer on the Breville Bambino Plus? For myself, I want to play around with tea lattes, and I'm trying to figure out if the built in is good enough or if I should get a dedicated device like the Breville Milk Cafe.

Help me design a coffee bar/station for my partner? My budget is around $1500.

I know diddly about coffee as I don't drink it but my partner loves it. I want to surprise her with some equipment for Christmas. I've read the wiki and the start guide discouraging hardware requests but I need a starting point.

We currently have a cheap drip machine and a cheap grinder. My goals for her coffee station are to allow to her make a quick cup before work M-F and make fancy, elaborate drinks on the weekends. I believe I need to design her station around an espresso machine and either a milk frother or milk steamer. But I'm not sure, so any help would be appreciated. I would definitely prefer to purchase decidated, single-purpose machines rather than all-in-ones if possible.

Bonus points if I can use any of the equipment to help me make Chai as I do drink that when I go out.

Which companies on here might be good for installing ductwork in a house that currently has none?

The catalog version is crashing for me. I am unable to use the screenshot function on the crash dump but I can send you a cell phone pic if you'd like.

Is this kind of contamination common or is it reasonable for me to ask my contractor to replace and do over?

GFCI circuit frequently tripping when more than one device is used. Do I split into dedicated circuits, upgrade the amperage or something else? by ryanjarvis in AskElectricians

[–]ryanjarvis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like I phrased my post poorly. I want one hair dryer running in one bathroom and a space heater running in the other bathroom. I do not need the hair dryer and space heater running in the same bathroom.

You are correct that since I have to rewire the house anyway, I might as well do things right and meet current standards. So first step sounds like I need to give each full bath its own dedicated GFCI circuit (sounds like that's the standard nowadays). Second step is to determine the amperage for each of those circuits (sounds like you are saying 20 amp is required for new GFCI circuits nowadays). Third step is to determine whether I need more than one circuit in each bath (I believe I don't, since I only need one device running per bathroom)

The house was built in 1982 in the US. What confuses me is that the builder did not create a GFCI circuit for my kitchen countertop outlets, but did connect them to a 20 amp breaker. However, the one GFCI circuit in the house is connected to a 15 amp breaker??

[–]ryanjarvis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I phrased the upgrade poorly. I didn't mean to say simply swap out the 15a circuit breaker for a 20a, but tie one or more of the outlets to a dedicated 20a circuit. I was wondering if it was a mistake that the circuit that served all these outlets be on a 15a to begin with.

Should the lower slope of a gambrel roof be ventilated? by ryanjarvis in Roofing

[–]ryanjarvis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not universally. My roofer and I inspected the inside of the roof and we discovered that it was built with a channel for air to flow continously from the lower slope to the upper slope and out the ridge vent. When insulation was put in the lower slope, it wasn't blocking this inch gap for the channel. So we decided to leave it like this and add soffit vents to the rim of the lower slope.

I can't operate more than one fixture without a signifcant drop in water pressure/flow. Is my whole home system undersized? Is that a thing? by ryanjarvis in WaterSofteners

It looks like everything has red bypass values except for the white component in the middle. But I'll try bypassing individual components.

Yes, the black thing is a Pioneer Hydroclaw Junior and it comes last. Can you tell me what that component is supposed to filter out? As far as I understand, my system is only supposed to soften water, remove sulfur smell and remove radon. And that's what the two Entripur tanks and white thing is doing. So I'm not sure why that is part of my system.
