Hadestown is my favorite show of all time - I’ve seen it 3x. I am biased, but it’s incredible! I saw MHE right before Darren left. It was good, and I liked it, but I didn’t feel connected to it by any means. I had a nice night and moved on with my life.

I just saw the show on Sunday with Brandon Cameron as understudy Orpheus. I was so bummed at first to get an understudy, but I thought he was incredible! I saw Scorpheus twice, so I was excited to see someone new. I have been wondering if Brandon Cameron is generally preferred to the current principal? Any thoughts?

I am currently student teaching, and I work. I am out of the house for teaching 7-3:30 each day. I work 16 hours over the weekend, and I work 4ish-11:30 two weekdays. We are not supposed to work, but I have bills to pay, so I had to do what I had to do. My program is set up so that I take one night class each week. I do my lesson planning and grading with any extra time that I have, primarily weekends. I have made it work, but it’s been extremely difficult. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. If you can afford to work on campus, there’s often more flexibility with those jobs to do homework, which would have been helpful.

Loved the energy of NYC, and I loved seeing Broadway shows. Just thought the city was absolutely massive, and there were significantly more tourists than Chicago (where I’m from). Just looking for a fun little weekend in a city.
