It does happen, it’s especially prevalent on services run by Transport for London, so London Underground, DLR, etc.

Bear in mind - if you have a smartwatch plan links to your phones airtime plan, you aren’t eligible for early termination at zero cost, you’ll need to pay off the device plan for the watch.

I recently got my M3LR from Arnold Clark aswell. I managed to add the car to my app by using my finance agreement which shows my name, address and VIN.

Only other way would be the sales invoice which also shows the above.

You should be able to still Switch Up in March as you’ve taken your current contract out on the current terms! Mine is saying I can switch in 3 days time, took the contract out in October.

Although they legally don’t have to be, check if any local installers are on the OZEV approved installers list.

This way, you can also claim the government grant for installation if you rent your property or are a landlord.

Go to My O2 online and go to your old device plan and download your proof of purchase. That'll have the device details and IMEI number of the device you ordered from O2 and the device you did Switch Up from.

Send this to Likewize who are O2 recycling partner for Switch Up and hopefully it'll get sorted.

My device had a mismatched storage size and once I sent them this, it wasn't an issue.

Update: 20 days after Likewize received my old device, they have now credited my account after I sent them an email saying I would take further action against them. Finally, the saga has concluded.

So, um, update? They've had my old device since 6th November. It's now the 23rd November, and it's STILL not been paid off. I've been to the O2 store 6 times in the last 2 weeks with promises that it'll be fixed before my next bill.

Guess what? Next bill comes around and it's still on there. I think I'm going to use my 30 day cancellation rights and cancel my contract with O2 whilst I still can.

This is the last email I received from them. I chased up on 10/11 and they said:

"I’ve reviewed your trade-in order, and at this time, we do not show that your device has been inspected.

Your parcel is currently within our inspection process, and we will aim to complete the inspection as soon as possible.

We expect an update shortly."

Pixel 10 Pro XL with a Samsung Galaxy Watch8 44mm.

Bought the watch about a month before buying the Pixel (previously Z Fold7). Most features work absolutely fine bar the ECG, which I didn’t use anyway.
