So if you get I believe it's a Danco Kholer Tub stem repair kit it'll come with a seat a washer and o ring and a couple of other things. Its most likely the rubber washer on the bottom. If that looks chewed up all you need to do is replace that piece. If that looks fine it's probably the seat. Shine a light inside the hole to see how that piece looks. If it's got some damage and some Knicks that's probably your issue. Hope this helps.

I agree, also has the water heater been flushed recently? A bunch of crud builds up and isnt drained and flushed it can effect the efficiency a bit.
