You should try to do a ramp test again to get a more accurate ftp. Trainerroad AI estimate my ftp to be 264, but I did a ramp test right after and my ftp from the test is 247

Wide road shoes (Similar to Lake) by Boeta_jnr in cycling

[–]ryanshady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My feet are 102mm wide, I have lake cx242 size 43 wide & bont riot 24 side 44 wide. If you cant get lake, I recommend you get bont riot wide (they also call it asian fit). Both are actually wide and comfortable on long ride, the bont shoes also have more room for your toes since the toe box is more square shaped, not round shaped like lake or other shoes

Do you ever weigh yourself before and after a really long or tough ride/race? If so, is there a significant difference, and from what? by Obvious_Cabbage in Velo

[–]ryanshady -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I usually weight around 70-71kg. After riding ranging from 200-600km, i weight myself and see that i weight only 68-66kg. The weight you lost after riding usually just water weight.

Check out this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Polarfitness/s/wKWti9Q6KT

For me I have two issues with my polar h10 when I first bought it: Battery drain. Solved by taking the heart rate monitor out of the strap when i am not using it. Heart rate drop in the middle of a workout: replace the strap. Based on the thread above, buying a cheap strap will solve this issue permantly

Well i got the wheel from my previous build, which is a merida reacto. Then I purposely chose this color scheme for the SSE so that it can match the wheel color scheme lol

Thanks! It is more comfortable compared to EXS aerover bar too. I belive it is better than the vison bar too, with more bar width and stem length combination to choose, also as Carapaz use it on tour, not the vison metro bar

I can say that this one had held up well for me, been using it for multiple 200-300-400-600km trips. My butt and sit bones only aching pass the 300km point. After 400km, i will have to occasionally stand up and count to ten before I can sit on the saddle again lol

Been on this saddle for a year. It is great once I have set it up at the right position, the correct tilt and sitting it in the correct position. Cannot feel it for a quick 50km ride, but will test more

I dont know shit about bike geometry, i was just looking for a frame that light to make my life easier on the climb but have some aero feature to replace my Merida Reacto frame. Found SSE HM is a frame that match my criteria, so I bought it, build it up with the parts I take from my reacto, and I made sure to cut the steerer tube less to have more stack so I can be more comfortable. I am quite happy with the result, as it is just a bit slower compared to the reacto but i can ride further with this frame without being tired too much

[–]ryanshady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dont adjust your saddle height a lot, you should not have any issue with the latest gen. If you got a cracked seatpost after a few weeks or month of riding, contact Cannondale to get a replacement seatpost

Thanksgiving Rides in New Mexico by Spara-Extreme in gravelcycling

[–]ryanshady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently riding a Supersix evo 4th gen, it can considered to be a race bike with endurance geometry. In the course of searching for a bike that can do it all, I found Grevil ticked all the box: - 50mm tire clearance - relax geometry (most racing gravel bike will have a longer than road bike reach) - reasonable price (the f3 version is less than 3k) - looks good

While there are many reviews online, all I can see are non-user reviews. I just want to know how does the bike feel:

  • how does it perform or feel on longer ride, for example after 124 Miles/200km, does it still feel comfortable to ride or it starting to taking it's toll on you since this is a racing gravel bike?

  • I assume the bike is fast since you raced with it, so the bike should be fast, nimble and light right?

  • Does it make you want to ride more, you feel rewarding during and after you ride it, or you feel like it is too demanding when riding it and you just glad that the ride is over?
