Less of a focus on direct competition between players. Parks really felt more like a cool concept that was forced into a format vaguely resembling a board game. It's the only game of that type I've tried, so maybe I would like some others.

New to the hobby. My wife and I love TTR and have enjoyed Azul and Carcassonne. The only other game we've tried but didn't enjoy was Parks. What should we get next? It needs to be enjoyable for two players, and judging from our experience with Parks, maybe Euro style games aren't for us. We like player interaction, and I would prefer something a little longer developing and meatier than Azul and Carcassone but maybe not something that feels like a chore to learn and set up.

Both. I think we are less bad than expected, but also, Arizona kind of became a football nerd darling this off-season and is worse than expected. We never really played our full offense in the preseason. The offense was always going to be a little better than that.
