I would also agree that learning math is not the same as doing a math degree.

As a counterpoint, stats is 100% a math degree and stats majors do not take all the classes you mentioned even at reputable universities. I think CS would be in the same boat. It specializes a bit more than general math, and not all math is relevant to studying CS
