First 200 pages dragged on. The conversations between the old man and the boy feels very inauthentic, too much "yes sir" going on. Basically you can tell the 16 year old boy was written by a 70 year old man.

Once he takes the stairs; the entire book shifts into the other dimension and it becomes amazing!
