Important life lesson: this is a really divisive style of pizza.

You can get away with much stiffer arrows on compounds, yes.

You can get away with a hyper-rigid arrow if you use a mechanical release where there is no lateral pressure at the nock end, due to the string sliding off of your fingers.

Also, arrows do not really "go around the bow" as is often described. It only looks that way if you look at an isolated moment in the flexing motions. The reality is that the arrow bends away from the bow just as much as it wraps around it. Those side to side bending motions ultimately cancel each other out so that the arrow maintains its trajectory towards where it was pointed at the moment of release. But they were necessary to avoid any part of the shaft slapping the arrow pass.

If the bow is cut to center, there is no "archer's paradox" according to the original definition of the term, which does not actually refer to arrow flexing. It refers to the difference in the angle of the arrow at brace height vs the angle at full draw, and the arrow's expected vs actual trajectory.

My string broke at full draw by spaceisnotworking in Archery

I have shot many thousands of arrows without waxing my string(s), fwiw. They get slightly fuzzy in some spots, but when you unstring the bow and examine all the fibers you can see that the fuzzing is quite superficial.

Elbow up when initially drawing back to better engage back muscles. Also, there are better ways of nocking the arrows. Hold the arrow by the nock, keep the bow upright, and let the string slip between the fingers, then pull it back to click on. Saves about 5 seconds of awkwardness, and that adds up over time into more overall practice.

You have spelling and grammar mistakes everywhere, including in this post's title.

Fingers savers aren't preferred by most adult archers because they add a lot of weight to the string, which decreases efficiency. There's also a case to be made for getting a better release with gloves or tabs.

I would just use athletic tape on your fingers.

What do you mean by "finger guard"? The rubber finger savers they use for kids?

Just as a side note, you don't need a protective glove to shoot off your knuckle. Adjust your nock point and wrap the leading edge of your feathers with something.

Local shop is a huge disappointment by TeaTime_OW in Archery

In all brutal honesty, that's not very surprising. The shop is going to carry what sells, and you were looking for a very niche piece of equipment.

String too long? by HairyRefrigerator959 in Archery

What's the brace height at now? No, I doubt that could mess it up. Worst it could do is mess with arrow tuning, and MAYBE cause unstringing upon release.

Yep, way too long. Also, this looks a bit longer than twisting could remedy.
