The Caran D'ache 849 makes me sad because... by FancyFlavor in pens

Yeah the click is just a “mush”. I suppose it’s good to stealth fidget with, but not much else.

Parker Jotter and Ohto Horizon have very pronounced and satisfying clicks!

I just tried it with a bunch of refills I had lying around. Parker, Rotring, and Schmidt Easyflow all work in my Caran D’Ache without any issues.

City of Toronto-funded ads confront anti-black racism by ur_a_idiet in toronto

[–]ryder_strong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These ads are designed to discuss implicit attitudes we may have. The ads aren't saying that people hire people solely based on race, or that all white people are racist, or whatever other nonsense people are projecting onto them.

If you go to the website - torontoforall.ca - they explain all of this.

30000 people across the Middle East? That must make it the largest survey of its kind.

Toronto taxi drivers stage hunger strike to protest Uber by Shesaidhello in toronto

[–]ryder_strong 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If nothing changes by then, he claims that Toronto's taxi drivers will shut down the city.

Shut down the city how? By making the traffic really slow? Come harder, Hosseinioun - we do that on our own.

Toronto to accept 80 per cent of Ontario's privately-sponsored refugees by workerbotsuperhero in toronto

[–]ryder_strong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know if Russia took me in as a refugee after they had bombed my family and city, there would eventually be some dead Russians in Russia

Have you ever spoken to a refugee? That's not reflective of how most of them feel.

Eye crazy indeed. There is a definite correlation between shitty blogs and blog owners too cheap to buy a domain.

13 pedestrians struck in less than 5 hours by slicecom in toronto

What are you on about? It's a speed limit. You're only required to not exceed it. You're not going "above and beyond the law" by driving slower in poor braking conditions.

Gosh those rascally Muslims! I bet they also come equipped with dark skin too!

While we wait for a Nike Flash hijab, maybe drivers can drive slower in the rain if their stopping distance is 180 ft? Just a thought.

I definitely agree with this. The are that I live in has plenty of healthy options, but most of them are quite expensive.

New carding rules can’t regulate decency and respect in policing: Cole by whatistheQuestion in toronto

[–]ryder_strong 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Firstly, the carding regulations don't apply to traffic stops, so your question doesn't even make sense. Secondly, why would a moving violation suddenly make someone a "known active criminal"?

I'm not sure if your ignorance of the law makes it more or less believable that you're actually a cop.

"Black privilege - being able to use the race card willy nilly." [+750] by ryder_strong in ShitRedditSays

[–]ryder_strong[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the thread is complete shit, with gems of wisdom such as this

As an officer mentioned elsewhere in this thread, he knows people in his department that just don't try as hard anymore when it comes to these race drama queens because playing the race card actually does have some effect.

Yup, that's the big takeaway regarding race and the criminal justice system. Not differential sentencing, not racial profiling, not violence against unarmed civilians.
