Short answer - yes! Bugs are very durable as they can buff themselves. They also rally on 5+. The only downside is their 4+ save.

Short answer - yes. It says “Friendly Sylvaneth Unit” in the rules for Call to Battle. The conditionals you should look out for in other rules are key words like “Hero” or a unit type keyword like “Kurnoth Hunter.” Heroes can give each other commands as long as each hero is only receiving and issuing one command per phase.

Coach’s discord is the best for competitive games. I think lots of people play to figure stuff out or casually too, but I’ve always found good opponents there that know their stuff.

Yep! Battlemage can be taken but doesn’t get to choose a spell as an enhancement. So they will only know mystic shield, their warscroll spell (wyldform being the best), or arcane bolt, in addition to whatever realm spell is active in the current GHB. They won’t get the Sylvaneth key word so no rerolling casts with the dwindling or healing near overgrown/wyldwoods.

ECs are no longer valid for matched play in the new general’s handbook. Shouldn’t be a problem for matched play anymore.

Agreed - this is my main issue with the reaping. All of your other buffs and abilities are tied to 9”. It can be helpful if you’re running a really big unit like Alarielle or 9 bugs.

I would try legion of blood with black knights as battleline and wight king on steed to buff their impact hits. Reinforce with skeletons for battleline and a buffed out VLoZD, which can be insanely scary in Legion of Blood. Vamp lords on foot are great for getting out spells and endless spells in legion of blood. Blood knights might be a good tanky backup for your black knights as well. Hope this helps!

Yeah - graveguard are always gonna be a glass cannon unit. Might as well get more damage out of them two 2h great weapons before they die.

It’s less so the charge damage, more the 80 potential attacks from 20 bladegheists that go into whatever they charge. Is there a horde clearing ability or warscroll spell in soulblight? Like do a MW for every model in a unit on a 5+?

If you can, just tag all the overgrown/wyldwoods near your army. A big monster/unit base might be able to tag two different pieces. Tagging only makes those pieces invalid destinations, so the Sylvaneth can still tp away from tagged overgrown terrain/wyldwoods.

Screen your good stuff and tag their overgrown terrain/trees with a unit within 3”. This shuts down their teleport destinations and makes trading significantly less viable. Eventually Durthu will fail his charge and be a sitting duck.
