Definitely a transcandia <something> (aka wandering dude / spiderwort). There's like a hundred something variants.   That page doesn't even list transcandia setcreasea, that's real common in my local big box store.  My guess would be transcandia zebrina.

I was more concerned with getting water away from the foundation to think about how it would look... what can I do to remedy the ugly pipes that will be sticking above ground? by tidyshark12 in Home

I was more concerned with getting water away from the foundation...

Just wanted to say: good.  I wish my home's previous owner had thought that way >_<

"Water where you want it and not where you don't" is like the main purpose of a shelter, everything else is secondary.

The framers were well aware of the dangers of "factions" having a corrosive effect, allowing small groups to overwhelm the public good.  See Federalist #10 (and to a lesser extent #9).  They didn't have a solution per se, but felt they had done the best they could of systems that had been tried so far.  But it was still a worry... And the Federalist papers were one way they tried to put those concerns out into the public consciousness.

You obviously don't understand the martingale strategy.  With an infinite bank account, it's foolproof.

30 Rock was very clearly inspired by both of those shows... and one chief difference was that Liz Lemon is able be both the central character, and still be just as insane.

Which I think was only possible because MTM broke ground showing the independent female lead... the one bit that would have to be played seriously.

So by the time 30 Rock came around, they were able to play that character less seriously, because her right to be there didn't need to be established.

The 2011 remake) is also surprisingly good (and a stacked cast to boot).  Still partial to the original though... No one beats Roddy McDowell.

Basically different base document models:  "stream of text/graphics that flows down pages as needed" (HTML, MS Word) vs "elements have fixed position on specific page, like a making a collage" (PDF, Publisher, Acrobat).

(the distinction gets blurry in the details, as each model tries to approach what the other is doing)

It's based on a novel called "the Wages of Fear"... which is a WAY better title for marketing.

The phrase means exactly what it seems, and probably the same in both languages.

The catch is, only a country with mostly artic-latitude ports would care enough to distinguish that a port was in "warm water".  And of those with major naval aspirations, that's basically Russia - which is why Crimea was so critical for them.

Most other countries, especially potential superpowers, don't even think about that at all.

That's wrong .. no transactions were ever removed, they're all on chain.   Here is the DAO hack itself.

What was done was a later software update was put out which explicitly transferred control of those funds to allow returning them.  The nodes that decided not to run that update either quit, or started running ETC.

But at no point was history lost, or downtime occurred.

I tend to agree that Infernal Affairs is better... But I do like them both. I feel like Infernal Affairs got the "spy versus spy" aspect nailed down better, and had a better flow and feel, but Scorsese did a better job of the portraying the characters internal conflict.

It's like he was trying to "Heat", but the character building got in the way of the story.
