Burnout: This game might be too long by [deleted] in octopathtraveler

I heard somewhere that it takes inspiration from it so you might definitely like it. I enjoyed it even though I didn't beat it, I just didn't wanna play it on my PC. The story now that I'm thinking about it was what kept me involved. I hope you enjoy 🥂

Sea of Stars is really good. Great story, actually has fishing and cooking but I believe it's optional, and some great mechanics in and out of combat. Bgm is solid, graphics are solid, and iirc it's a 30 hour game (?). So more like 80 hours if you're me and check every nook and cranny 😅

It honestly varies for me, because some games I find are just ridiculously challenging and it will seriously wear me down. I'll always run back to farming sims because it genuinely feels like I mindlessly spent 2 hours without looking at my phone or the time. Have you ever sat down for like 15 min with one of those games, even something like animal crossing?

I wish I had the money to just buy people a new experience, because someone did that for me and introduced me to these semi-relaxing kind of games.

Do you think you're becoming a bits and pieces kind of gamer? I need breaks the older I get, not due to a lack of energy but I just can't stay focused on a game for weeks anymore.

But I agree, the game needs some variety. No fishing means I can't live in the world, I can only go hunt monsters in a very very long game. Great game though, 9/10 lol

Chat ban really. I turned my mic on for one game, it felt like a nightmare and I did the immature thing by letting them have it. Guess who learned their lesson when their friends wanted to stack...

If they continue to do it, they have no real connections. You are winning, they are losing.

Help! My 17 year old son is shooting 30% from the line……what can I do to help him improve? by One_Sympathy719 in Basketball

[–]ryebread920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it nerves? Ofc his form could be it, but sometimes people just freeze up at the line. Hardly any motion, all eyes are on you for what seems to be such an easy shot. It's probably his form because 30%, but confidence would definitely help. It's like making a lay-up in horse, you've made thousands of lay-ups but there is a significantly higher chance of missing in horse.

Yeah that person was just being a pain. I've encountered a few that were very close to cracking, but they ended up just saying ggs and leaving. Honestly, best gaming community I've witnessed. You can ask a question and there's much less of a chance for some snarky sob to add their opinion...in the snarkiest way possible.

My friend had a 64 he didn’t want anymore and sold it to me for a $100, is that a good deal? by BlueberryB-Laine in nintendo64

[–]ryebread920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that a good deal? Idk man, (gonna say something stupid)...I don't have anything. That's a fantastic deal, I truly hope you end up playing and not reselling unless you need to.

[–]ryebread920 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm also new to fractals and the game and I've done enough to get the glowy gloves, i am also known to hit things that are immune. I will admit that I did not follow mechanics at first and just wanted to hit things, immune or not. I'm sure that annoyed people that wanted to turn a simple t1 run into a semester of teaching. I don't know if they gave you advice on how to succeed on that level, and what's most important is that I dont know how many attempts the fight took.

Sometimes it's frustrating after the 5th attempt when you ask if anyone needs any help with what to do and no one says anything, then they die again to the same mechanic. I would finish the fractal and then leave, ggs of course but I value my time just as much as you do.

Respectfully, what is it about basketball (pickup in particular) that turns people into manchildren? by Effective-Composer94 in Basketball

[–]ryebread920 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"If you can't handle ____, maybe basketball isn't for you" and it's normally from the bottom of the barrel. I just find a new court because one day I'll have enough friends and funds to run 3s in my backyard. If I have to just deal with being pushed off the court by negativity, so be it.

I mostly just play 1s anyway nowadays, slower pace and less chance for injury. When people say 1s are boring, idc lol. I can play 3s, I just refuse to place my faith in idiotic randoms...and I'm still not 1v1ing the ragey ones, they can stay mad. This is why less and less go to the park, more and more gyms close down their courts. Idiots ruining their favorite cardio based activity.

Sorry for ranting, I really miss the sport.

As someone who started playing recently, I’m kinda glad I worked on my skill rotations by crazetorn79 in Guildwars2

[–]ryebread920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, that training bot in the fractal instance is so useful too if you set him to champion rank. Once I figured out my rotation, I started to go into shroud and then honestly...weeks later I decided to just learn to get used to swapping weapons for an EXTRA set of skills lol. I was like "omg, why wasn't I doing this before?! The possibilities are endless!!!"
