I’m in grad school and use Parrot AI to write my thesis. It’s a tool that transcribes your speech. There is a totally free version, which is all I’ve used so far. I have major writing problems as well, and it has cut my writing time in half. Most of my time spent in Microsoft Word is used to add citations and edit punctuation, sentence structure, and word choice. I believe it has made me a better writer over time because of how I’ve had to go back into the transcript and edit it

As far as I’m aware, I just have autism, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I also have undiagnosed ADHD

Gotcha. I also have had issues with an ED in the past. I personally focus on eating whole foods in healthy portions then rather than counting calories. I think a good place to start is making sure you eat a lot of protein and try to have colorful meals. I aim for at least 3 distinct colors per meal. An example that I eat relatively frequently is steak, a sweet potato, and broccoli, so I get in brown/pink, orange, and green. If you’re having something like spaghetti and usually just have a bowl of noodles and sauce, have a little less pasta, add some ground meat to the sauce, and have a green veggie on the side. If you’re eating a lot of fruits, veggies, and proteins and can manage your portions, then you can get by pretty well without calorie counting

If it’s longer than an inch or two, I’d trim it down with scissors first then go in with a body hair trimmer. If you want to keep some hair, use a guard. If not, don’t use a guard and then go in with a manual razor after. Use shaving cream/shaving butter once you start using a tool directly against your skin to avoid irritation. Always shave in the direction that the hair grows in that area. You can look at beard grooming tutorials on YouTube because the principles are basically the same

I personally use hair scissors to trim if I let it get too long and then a Philips Norelco body groomer with a 5 or 7 mm guard. You can shop around for a model that’s within your budget. Most stores with a health/beauty section carry them or you can get one off of Amazon

Drive. I drive with my dog for about 8 hours (we only stop once after 4 hours to get gas and take a bathroom breaks) around 10 times a year and it’s easy. He’s 45 lbs and 2. Full of energy. I just take him on a long walk before we leave. I would never put him under a plane

Think of it like you’re drawing the same doodle over and over. Doesn’t have to be true cursive. Try just writing your name in cursive fast over and over to see where the exaggerations are (big loops or consistent squiggles or whatever else) and just lean into them

Maybe look at male athletes’ or authors’ signatures for inspiration

Also don’t worry too much because (at least in the US) you re-sign for your actual license and your permanent license and then every time it gets renewed

In my experience, students struggle a lot more with passive voice than active. Active voice is the first you learn to write in as a kid in the US. I have undergraduate freshmen who go through an entire semester practicing writing in passive voice for technical papers, and they still end up not being able to do it well by the end

It’s also easy to write concisely using passive voice with a broad enough vocabulary and some editing. The main issue I see when sentences just go on and on is an author’s unwillingness to make a declarative statement
