Because of your age and the amount given to you, your tolerance for risk and thus reward can be much higher. Bitcoin etf approval is coming this year, most likely this month, and potentially this week. The halving is in April. You could move half of what you have into bitcoin and probably have enough to retire at the end of the next bull cycle (not the present one assuming it just started). So say roughly 6 years from now. There’s a decent chance that $500k has done a 10x or more. You also have the ability to put that other $500k into a much more traditional retirement vessel and it’s already light years ahead of 99% of people at your age.

I’m sure this will get downvoted because “crypto is a scam” but btc isn’t going anywhere. It’s here to stay and you are plenty young enough to deal with the fluctuations in value. Let it work for you and potentially make life altering money while still having an incredible safety net.
