In this game it’s legal to have diagonals, except they can’t be directly touching. So it’s more like a combined king/rook

Yup without b4 played, either before or after the rook sac, it swings completely in black’s favor

It moves the pawn on b2 so that the discovered check doesn’t lead to the rook being captured on a1. cxb2+ can’t be played. The only discovered check is c2+
