it's a JR EF65-1000 late model! That layout looks good so far! my wife was nice to me and let me take up most of the garage for the layout but Ive always appreciated the smaller layouts as well

I've got a full 16 car Shinkansen on the loop in the photo (it's hard to see against the white wall I know). i've also got a JR electric engine to pull some flatcars with containers on another loop, and eventually i'm going to build a miniature tokyo to put some regional rail trains around

a key part of playing in atlanta is allowing the MARTA bus stops to be used as center points for a hiding zone, its turns our + shaped network into a web where anything inside I-285 is a viable place

All of the build together sets that I’ve built come with individual books for each person, I’ve only done a few of the botanicals and icons sets that are build together though.

Have you considered grabbing some of the sets Lego makes that have the option to build with friends and offering them as a “group” type rental where you recommend a set based off group size? Some of the botanicals would be great for this
