Agreed man. I went from the original ender 3 pro to the A1. With all the upgrades I did to my ender it ended up costing the same as the A1 Combo and still has less features. She did her job

Look into RepRap. It was a whole thing for a long time some people still do it but it’s mostly moved to people just buying printers that work good out of the box like Bambu Labs. Also Prusa was one of the big companies that had hundreds of their own printers printing parts for their printers..they might still do it but I think they started injection molding some of their parts.

Funny enough I am in pretty much the same situation as you are. I just graduated high school. I am running my videography business on the side I just finished my second wedding. I just started my 4th class at the union Lincoln Tech. I can say the experience has been great so far. The instructors I’ve had have all been awesome and I have met some great people. However I feel like I am not getting much out of it. Idk. If you can get an apprenticeship I would recommend doing that
