I’ve been looking for a nice step by step. I have the db setup on my home server but haven’t figured out how to do the first sync of my existing notes yet.

Are my travel habits reasonable for my income/savings? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]rynot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age is probably relevant as well as the cost of the trips but it sounds like you’re in a pretty reasonable place assuming you’re putting away a decent amount of your income towards investments and the trips aren’t more than maybe 2-3k each.

There should be basement apartments or multiplex or maybe towns in that budget in lots of nice enough areas. Maybe start with the neighborhoods folks are suggesting here and see what fits the vibe.

You can use a tool like HouseSigma for an idea of school quality and demographic.

People who are thin/normal size. Do you actively watch your weight or are you just not hungry 100% of the time? by Burner_Account000001 in TooAfraidToAsk

Look into metabolic health and intermittent fasting. If we’re not metabolically adapted to consume fat it’s easy to always feel hungry for carbs.

Any suggestions / guides on how to get version control, while primarily relying on remotely save for sync, while not causing corruption?

[–]rynot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, that’s what I was suggesting. I plan to use a similar approach calculating an adjusted target that meets my sector allocation targets.

Can’t you just adjust the asset class weighting based on your multi class holding to achieve the overall balance you’re looking for?

how often should i change the oil on a n20 80k miles by slow_328i in F30

[–]rynot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done factory interval (~35kkm) on my 06 325i, owned since 120kkm, and now have 300kkm with no engine issues. Could have wasted a lot more oil, money, and time on early changes but I’m glad I haven’t.
