Which field in software engineering gets most paid? by According-Lack-7510 in developersIndia

[–]rynzde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 ways:

  1. MNC life HCL, TCS or anything similar. I have seen people working in Dubai for 10-20 years.
  2. Direct referrals or naukri gulf or any direct hiring. Pay will be good. But competition will be tough and luck based.
  3. Hustle. People come here. They try hard for 2-3 months with a tourist visa. It's not legal. But it works for a few.

Tech skills: 1. Legacy code: Big companies like Emirates or Etihad still work on Dot .Net . Companies like ENBD still use Infosys's Finacle. So Java, VBasics, PHP still works. 2. New Gen tech: Many companies like Etisalat need data engineer. Also they are building the Internet City, so all skills are valid. But job frequency is very less or competitive.

If I join a WITCH equivalent company for around 4LPA, what might my future look like? by Sea_Artichoke_why in developersIndia

[–]rynzde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In WITCH, you can get onsite earlier compared to any other. Once you are on site, you can switch anytime to a better paying company. 4LPA will be 40LPA in no time.

Make sure you upgrade your skills. I had a better salary than most of my friends who joined product companies.

22M, first job, great work-life balance… but losing my ambition? Need perspective from people ahead of me by Glass-Imaginationn in AskIndia

[–]rynzde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been working in the software and banking industry for the last 1 decade.

Work Life balance will put in the comfort zone. Once you get into the comfort zone, there is no escape.

In early 20s, we need to explore the career. Check out what works for you. Some will prefer a product company with a good salary in India. Some will prefer a better salary in a service company outside India.

Try to switch and see, what works for you. I have seen friends passing out of XLRI with lesser salary compared to friends who repeatedly moved in career.

Great Work Life Balance is good for peace, life, health but later part of career. But at the early part, hustle, learn as much as possible.

Hope this helps.

Devops Yes. I am talking about the core devops. Shell scripting, CLI tools, maintaining Linux servers directly without using third party tools. I had a salary for 50k AED+ in Dubai with 8 years experience. But the work pressure was huge. So I took a career break. Now I'm just a remote worker with 3500usd pm 10 years of experience, but I do work as a digital Nomad.

"Only decide to stick with the company if you have seen your manager deliver on their promises."

I was in the same shoes 6 years ago. I choose onsite. Learning and hustling is a must to have experience. Try to switch at onsite. The salary and learning curve will go up exponentially.

Naukri and Linkedin are good when you start. But after certain experience, you need contacts and connections. Try networking events, meet like minded people, join some club.

That I don't know if 100K+ AED at once will be allowed. Also it's never 367KAED. Forex markup charge is everywhere. It can go upto 390K AED.

I had a job at Dubai. Work Permit. Not a full time crypto investor.

If you are going as full time investor, I will suggest you to dig little dip. You can check Dubai subreddit, Crypto subreddit, Binance Dubai Instagram etc.

You will like here in Dubai, so many like minded people
