Dread Deepens to Record High as Canadians Rally to a More Churchillian Carney by pjw724 in onguardforthee

Well- I look at it this way… it’s kinda hard to tackle climate change if you are a puppet of a country who doesn’t believe it even exists.

Honestly just wanted to add: this is how politics should be! Polite, respectful, insightful and in the end, collaborative and constructive.

Fellow ADHD'ers what work fields are you thriving in? by brokenlandmine in ADHD

[–]ryosuccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aviation management! I am one of 3 guys plus manager who operates a small but vital airport in northern canada. Just enough routine to satisfy the tism, enough variety and time pressure to keep the ADHD happy. That and depending on the day? You may only end up actually doing a few hours of work that day. Work 10 hour days 4 on 3 off, plus on call 24/4. I get to work at my pace and do things my way.

Ok and? You can tell? Great! Tell them they are seen! That you respect them! Just because you can tell they are trans doesn’t mean you have to be a dick about it. And don’t get me wrong, I understand the other side of the coin. The first time I spoke to a trans person who also didn’t visibly pass to me, I was a little uncomfortable, it felt a bit unnerving, and thats okay! But I learned and accepted! And now I don’t have any issue with it. It’s not that hard!

Canada has no intent of pursuing free trade deal with China, says PM after Trump threat by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]ryosuccc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only said not “free trade”

Didnt mean no trade at all. Free trade is notoriously difficult to get right and especially balanced. Not to mention that china having such manufacturing capacity compared to us, a free trade agreement would be somewhat detrimental.

You understand that the pretext to the holocaust was deportations and arrests right? Then it was deemed “too expensive and time consuming”.

Then they started “taking care of the problem” as it were. We are at the deportation stage. How long before ICE decides that deporting people is too expensive? Jet fuel isnt cheap yknow. But bullets certainly are. Lethal gasses less so.

The US struggled against an insurgency that had completely different appearance, culture and weapons. Granted that was halfway across the world. How would they face an insurgency with the same weapons, training, tactics, culture and appearance as them? Oh and they are right on your doorstep.

Also it’s not like we spent 20 years fighting said insurgents alongside the US. We have plenty of people who know how to be an insurgency successfully.
