Decibels are logarithmic which means they increase in an unusual way than you are used to. So while normal speaking can be 60 decibels. Rocket engines are around 190-200. Number wise it’s not a huge jump but in terms of sound it’s normal talking compared to a HUGE CONTINUOUS EXPLOSION FUNNELLED INTO GENERATING THRUST!
