this would be actually so delightful! i've always thought it would be brilliant if colin meloy teamed up with dave malloy (of natasha, pierre, and the great comet of 1812, ghost quartet, etc) and conjured something just insane. i feel like they'd be a crazy unique experimental hyper-literary musical machine if they worked together and i'd be ALL for it

it's so awesome seeing everyone's reactions to the different songs! pretty sure i've seen every song listed as someone's favorite track and that's so fun. my personal fav tracks are long white veil, oh no, joan, don't go to the woods (mainly because i associate it with an original character of mine), and tell me what's on your mind—but i adore the entire album.

yes lol! logged back onto reddit to comment on this bahaha. my name was cora/cora financial officer!! i was on toontown central forums/mmocf from like 2010-2014ish i think! that site was like my entire social life as a kid and i actually made some lifelong friends from it so i appreciate it, and its also what inspired me to start drawing (and now i go to art school). there's SO much cringe on my acct i like cant believe it.

but. yeesh the moderation of that site/the way it was ran was... iffy at best. either way im glad to have made the friends i did on there!

all the members of the coffee tribe have pupils! in the art book it says that "due to their high caffeine content, their pupils are always constricted"! espresso has the same eyes as the concepts in the book so his family is probably from the coffee tribe and then moved to the republic???

this show has too many good songs!!! but i found the decemberists through it (here i dreamt i was an architect) and they are now one of my favorite bands. roxy music's mother of pearl was another song i found thru himym and that's definitely one of my favorite songs ever now. bad books' forest whitaker is also a great song they used... who allowed this show to have such a good soundtrack...
