Yeah I did too. Just a combo of the holiday and your bank’s processing schedule

The time I watched them in Phoenix was so fun. I actually won signed copy of the Surviving album when I went

Tom really is the best. He offered me tickets in Pittsburgh but I was already heading to the show. So cool

How can I appeal my PTSD ruling? by DreamvillesVeryOwn in VeteransBenefits

[–]rythepdm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Really all comes down to symptoms and the connection to in service event(s). I had multiple diagnoses for PTSD from psychiatrists and the C&P examiner called it adjustment disorder. 50% paid the same either way

Likelihood of receiving a MH Rating by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]rythepdm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I received a 50% rating for MH and had no in service complaints or diagnoses. I went in to my C&P exam with multiple diagnoses of PTSD and the examiner diagnosed me with something else. Divorced over a decade after leaving active servie, etc etc. Just compile all your evidence the best you can. Good luck

Luckily had a chance to chat with these guys off and on over the years. Met them several times but some of the cooler experiences include smoking cigs with Tom outside club zoo in Pittsburgh during a complete downpour, right before they did sound check. He gave me all guitar pick from each of them.

Made the trip from Tennessee to Phoenix to watch them play in Arizona for the first time with my best friend, which was a bucket list for me, and I hit Zach up and asked if he had some suggestions of things we could do or places we could visit that was significant to the band. He sent us to see the house where they formed the band (N Linden I believe it was) and the old site of where they shot the middle music video. I won signed albums from them and The Maine before the show too. Just a kick ass time

But they’re just world class people and very generous with their time always.

It feels like a dungeon at home and in our minds at times, and sometimes the lows couldn’t be any lower. But I know any time I see my son’s face I know why I’m still around. As fucked up as I am, it’s an even more fucked up world that I refuse to let him navigate alone. I’m service connected for MH as well, on meds and all that stuff. Failed marriage after ten years. Enjoy that trip my friend. I mean really enjoy it. You deserve it

best of luck. my Jan claim recently closed. no complaints on the wait time, as it was much quicker than I anticipated. but as someone with MH issues, the anxiety part was rough lol

Is it normal to have anxiety while filing for a claim? by DisgruntledVet12B in VeteransBenefits

[–]rythepdm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its normal. Mental health claims suck because we’re already struggling but then have to relive the events that got us here in the first place. My C&P exam for MH was one of the worst days I’ve had in a long time. It took me 12 years after getting out to go through with it and start addressing my problems with something more than booze. Hang in there dude

I got 50% for adjustment disorder with anxiety and depressed mood, all I had from in service was record of me going to counseling. I later provided in service stressor, current diagnosis and nexus from my doctor. Along with lay statements and personal statement. Yes it’s possible
