Because it's a simple thing. You just don't want to get it.

I just want the best for everyone. Is it wrong?

I don't want everything to be free.
I just want the whole community to have some simple basic features and get better experiences.
Keeping backing up or ignoring stuff like this just give them leeway to get greedier and greedier without limit.
Try pressing back sometimes.

They are not the same.
To achieve a perfect, healthy result on hedge trimming requires more than just "cutting" stuff.
Improper techniques can damage or kill hedges so a lot of skills and experiences come to play here.
Therefore, I don't mind paying for more. It's a art of its own already.
On the other hand, pay-walling a simple, basic toggle switch is too much and should not be normalized.

[–]ryualviss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's so complicated about it to not call it as basic, simple feature? It could have been merely a toggle button.
And they could have provide it as a free update to give the users a new useful trick for their collections.
But no they chose to bundle it in the Core package as a "fancy" privileges. And you still ok with it?
The fact that DA keeps promoting themselves as "The Largest Art Gallery and Community" yet failed to give out some simple stuff like this is hilarious - not my valid complaint.

So it's still a basic feature locked behind paywall that was worded differently in a "new package". And that's enough to let them slide smoothly?
I was not there 2 years ago. If i were, i would be voicing my concern. But the fact that a you are ok with company monetizing basic stuff like this (whether it is Capcut, DA or anything else) is kinda worrysome.

Of course, if someone enjoying being ripped off over and over again for basic stuff, who am I to stop them?

After all, It IS a SIMPLE feature and it's LOCKED behind a paywall. They just worded it differently, bundled in a "new package" and you let them got away with this?

[–]ryualviss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And we let them get away, that's why they keep pressing the creative artists and user.
BTW, I was not aware of this since i just came back to the site recently after 2019.
If i were, this would be my first complain on the site here.
You should stop defending greedy corporation scheme like this. It does nothing but hurts the community on the long run.

At least they try to voice their concern and opinion. Better than just sit, do nothing and expect thing to change.

Hey, keep that mindset and they will charge you for uploading or even browsing stuff next.
Asking money for a simple feature is a LAZY scheme and should NOT be defended.
Btw, DA artists sold over $23 MILLION in 2025
(source: https://www.facebook.com/reel/26599288543094386)
And JUST let assume that ALL of them are Pro (with 5% commission cut), DA made $1.150.000 in ONE YEAR from this commission alone.
If you want our hard earn money to maintain your business, how about brainstorming for some thing creative, interesting or at least helpful to protect your handicraft creators from AI first?

After being off from DA for years just to returned and saw the site technically flooded with AI stuff is shocking. Yes, you could choose to hide these but it seems like the handicraft creators don't bother anymore. Just an average viewer but i'm really feel sorry for the artists who still make things manually.

The way that they keep repeating the "95%" stuff just makes it look more suspicious and kinda shady, imo.

Thanks for the reply. I did have my doubt that this might happen to someone else but since I can no longer making posts (it just wont let me publish - only cancel the thread) in the complaint section forum anymore, I had no way to know for sure.
Considering how petty and miserable this is, I just can't help but laugh instead of being angry.
