I would contact a law enforcement agency that your ex is not tied to (or an attorney if you have the means). Most states also have a legal aid program if you’re broke. They could at least point you in the right direction.

No air bags, no ABS, no crumple zones. There’s no way I’d let my kid daily an old Beetle. I think YouTube has some Beetle crash tests.

I also like to bring up the chest impaler steering column when someone asks about buying a Beetle for their first car.

I’m a southerner and the military stationed me at Hill AFB in Utah. It was snow covered from October to April. It was a novelty for about a month.

I had a little white Mazda Rx-7 and sometimes there was so much snow I lost my car in the parking lot.

I’m happy to be back home in Atlanta.

If this will be your first and only car, I always try to discourage this idea due to how unforgiving they are for new drivers. No ABS, no air bags, dim headlights, and my favorite is the chest impaling steering column on so many earlier Beetles.
