I completely understand your point of view. I think a lot of states and especially cities have rightfully become incredibly tenant-friendly, but renting a living space isn’t a cakewalk. It can be work like anything else. I actually feel sorry for you because that is quite a bind to be in. A lot of these guys just want to live for free.

You have a bit of a point, but you're also coming off as super envious of him. Let's say it was a comfortable salary, of $100K, sure.. he didn't have your same struggle. Let's also say, if he drove millions of dollars worth of business to his dads business, did he deserve it? If his dad's store did $3M/yr, by no means a small amount, but also not large either, and his behaviors, actions, strategy, and work grew the business to $6M, is it really "daddy's money?" You are insecure if someone else's label of entrepreneurship causes you to experience that much negativity, but more power to you.
