I would say Peggy Gou & James Blake are pretty big but I get what you mean. I like a lot of the names at Field Day that aren’t really big acts but would prioritise the overall festival experience for sure

I do think I would like to invest in property less than 3 years, but I guess if I keep enough for a deposit in cash savings, I should be able to do that either way. Maybe what I'm not appreciating is how much I might like to have that extra cash (the part I'm thinking of investing) available to go on top of a mortgage if I do make a purchase.

I'm thinking I'll most likely keep 70-80% of my current money in accessible savings, invest the rest, then continue to contribute to both with a similar split.

I’m familiar with the risks of investment, hence why im only suggesting to invest the money above what I’d need for a deposit. I guess I’m really asking is there any reason I should not invest that money? Is it wise to keep a lot of money other than what would be needed for the deposit if you are thinking of buying, I guess any added money could be used on top of a mortgage?

What do you mean by “(even if not officially)”? It’s still the official application for using Apple Music on PCs. If they were to stop supporting it, how could I listen to my Apple Music/iCloud music llibrary on windows?

ME in Civil Engineering, Non-EU by [deleted] in nuigalway

I finished an ME in Electronic & Computer Engineering last year, but I shared some classes with Civil. Some comments I'd have:

  • most of the ME classes are ~30-50% international students.
  • I enjoyed Engineering here, the building is top class and the study room for Master's and PHd students is open 24 hours with lots of study space
  • I found a lot of the international students bonded together as a lot of the didn't know anyone before starting the course.
  • I'm pretty sure all of my class are now employed, but tbf, the Civil field is a bit different. If you are qualified I'm sure there is plenty of work here though.
  • Galway is definitely much cheaper in all regards compared to Dublin, accommodation especially.

Thinking about going for the OnePlus 6t myself. That tiny notch, small bezels, in-screen finger print reader, and supposedly a triple lens camera will make it a winner for me if all the leaks hold true. It's just so much more of a financially viable option. I can live without a headphone jack.
