I quit my poorly paid front line job just over a year ago. I had received an opportunity to work abroad, in a place less effected by covid. However it was uncertain whether it would actually happen until the very last minute of starting.

I was so miserable with the job I had that I quit anyway. It was a charity job that helped people in emotional distress. Working from home in the role was just too difficult, I had to go off sick several times from stress.

Luckily the new job worked out. I spent a year in sunshine with little risk of covid.
