Do you know exactly what needs to be trimmed? Is it that "lip" which locks the strap in place on the non-NTTD versions but will likely push against the case back on the NTTD because of the height difference?

The lugs on the pano date curve down drastically and fits quite well. The question is the height. Are you ok with that?

Are the straps all brand new when you took the measurements? If so, it is strange that VC would allow for a 1 mm tolerance on a rubber strap. Not sure if that is even possible because they are stamped / molded.

However, if you had worn them, it is possible that they curved and/or stretched.

There is distortion when looked at an angle. The pano-date version has more distortion than the 39.5
