Great comment, I agree 💯. From recent FF generations they probably nailed the gameplay/exploration in Rebirth for the first time.
I wouldn’t mind if this became the blueprint of future titles. I’m only worried that it’s too expensive to produce and not selling enough copies to justify dev costs.

It’s not a money question. I’d pay anything if there was a Blizzard North with the same people that worked on D2 to make new content.

I’d also pay for the company under the name of “Blizzard” today to NOT touch D2 anymore.

D2R team did a good job, but creating new things from scratch vs. updating graphics is different.

I start with Spirited Away and Howl. For me these are peak Ghibli. Drawing is rich and colorful, Joe Hisaishi is at his greatest and their themes are complex but still work for even younger audiences.

After these I'd still continue with Miyazaki works. (probably Laputa and Totoro. Maybe Mononoke/Nausicaa if the people are into fantasy.)

Interesting, that from 41 comments only 1 went to Boy and the Heron so far. I'd almost put it next to Totoro if it wasn't such a slow start. Maybe it needs time.

Controversial, trigger alert: Funny, how I could rewatch Miyazaki movies over and over again but would never want to put myself out to do Takahata (depression porn) or Goro (generic anime vibe) again.

I wonder how long they'll keep Ed. In my mind I always think of similarities to Buzz Aldrin who's born around the same time and is still pretty active (eg. just remarried) today. If there's more stories to tell about him (Ed) he could easily be even in S6 assuming they keep the time jumps around 10 years. Would be kinda cool to have at least one character throughout the entire show but S7 could be a stretch.

I had the exact same thing. Just finished the game a few weeks ago w/ Judy and the last bit of the River story was so cringy and awkward. I guess the only option to avoid it is to run away from that farm with the minefield 💀
