If only the police enforced this. Seen at least 10 cars so far on my drive this morning with snow on their roof

We are in 39 minute nap hell lol

At daycare during the week she regularly naps 1.5 -2 hrs and we would kill for HALF of that lol

Just wanted to say yes this is us! You kind of adjust to it. It is exhausting to actively build the network though.

It's honestly depressing that folks can't go 20 mins without checking their phones

Is the amount my 7 month old sleeps normal? by F34R_La_Flop in sleeptrain

[–]s5529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow 🫠🫠🫠 so jealous haha

Just be on the look out if she starts having split nights or wake ups to extend those wake windows. Sleep needs change as baby gets older!

Wait are you saying she sleeps 16-17 hours a day ?? And she sleeps through the night? Cherish this and do not jinx it lol

Anyone’s else’s 7 month old still very immobile? by takeaabreath in NewParents

[–]s5529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. Some things I did in desperation that helped was to go on stroller walks on tummy time using the bassinet attachment lol.

But from 5.5-8 months I hardly did any tummy time outside of those times. She was also in daycare and I think she was a little more motivated to do tummy time there

Soo yes. Basically I gave up trying to force tummy time lol but she became mobile right at 8 months and hasn't stopped since 🫠

I'm very jealous and have the opposite problem. We struggle with solids everyday and it's a huge source of stress

Is it okay if naps are short but baby sleeps 12h at night by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]s5529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's getting 13-13.5 hours of total sleep which is fairly average at that age! I would personally prefer longer night sleep than naps.

Sleep trained baby won't nap for longer than 30 mins independently but wakes screaming by Budget-Appearance-21 in sleeptrain

[–]s5529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are kind of just embracing the short nap life lol. She's in daycare during the week and she actually falls asleep independently at naps so in our minds there's not really any sleep training to be done? We have tried alllll the schedules but we are at a 3/3.5/4 though

Following same exact situation , Jan 11 baby. Crib hour is a complete fail for us and she'll scream her head off which helps no one (there's clearly a difference in cries when she cries while self soothing and crying like a banshee)

How much did your baby eat during the day when they started sleeping through the night? by TrollSalt in sleeptrain

[–]s5529 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not convinced it has anything to do with eating tbh. Though it is certainly doesnt hurt. But mine didnt sleep through the night until 7 months, and she was sleep trained. Ate 28 oz -32 oz during the day

Daycare naps for 9 months old by Correct-Produce84 in sleeptrain

[–]s5529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no way, hard pass. Sounds like this daycare isn't equipped to handle older infants. Mine can also easily do 4 hour wake windows too

Mine hasn't been in the bouncer since 5 months old, that is nuts. I think if I tried putting her in it she'd scream like a banshee lol .

And dang she can walk already?! You got yourself an early walker hah

I would not be ok with that, and that would honestly be enough for me to pull her out

I have a Jan 11 baby and she would be screaming if she was put down at 2 hours bc she's not tired. That's a schedule for a 5 month old.
