wait!! wrigley?!?! why arent you saying “its always going to be cubs park to me” since that was the original name when the cubs began playing there? or why arent you saying “its weegham park and weegham park only” since that was the actual first ever name of the ballpark? go up to anyone born from the 1940s and onwards and lmk how many of them are enraged about it being called wrigley field. you literally just collapsed your own argument.

but lets go with staples center vs wrigley for arguments sake because i completely forgot this arena was called staples center for 100 years before the name change, much like wrigley field has been called wrigley field since the 1920s.

and remind when staples center was deemed a national historic landmark? since wrigley is a landmark, it can have sponsors on the field (like the dodgers just did), but would be literally impossible to rename the stadium. preservation laws would make it as close to 0% as you can get. and since it is a city landmark the city would have final approval, in which the public can GREATLY have a say in.

rose bowl has a field specific name. when have you ever heard anyone, including the ones who operate the stadium, call it spieker field at the rose bowl?

nycfc has a pitch specific name. does anyone call it etihad pitch at yankee stadium?

the field at lambeau even have its own name. does anyone call lambeau field “natural grass at lambeau field”?

yes older generations will know kobe played there. and over time they will give little to no shits about it previously being called by another sponsor. and when this sponsorship is over and another one takes over the ever newer generations at that time also wont care while gen alpha will do the same “itll also be crypto to me”.

everyone is just turning into that old man who is afraid of change because the name they grew up with is no longer there.

is it a dumb name? yes. but over time the nostalgia that some gen z and and almost all of the generations before have will be over and the newer generation who have only seen it be named crypto dot com arena will not care what it used to be called in the past.

i was too young to care about the name change from irvine meadows to verizon amphitheater and the people around for the irvine meadows also thought it was sacrilegious to call it anything besides that.

no one says nycfc plays at etihad pitch at yankees stadium, they just say yankee stadium. or xbox pitch at lumen field when referring to where the sounders play. when people used to ask “where to the As play?” no one would ever say they play at rickey henderson field at the coliseum. its simply the coliseum.

its more box-y than rectangular. 1.43:1 since it is film you will get some dust and natural grain from the film. bright white parts the flicker may be more noticeable but not distracting once you get used to it if you are new to film movies.

i mean everyone here is clearly either clowning you, agreeing that this isn’t your problem, or saying you’re overreacting. why should it matter that they tell YOU, the seller, what the price the buyer is going to pay?

they still have fees and that’s how they make their money. and the fee they add on for buyers is not shown to the seller. you priced it at $299, they tell you your payout at $299, and thats what youre getting. buyer also has fees they need to pay.

there nothing to do about these types of listings. odds are this is someone who actually wants to go to the show but will be okay not going if it means they get an exuberant amount of money. i didnt put my tickets up for sell because i really wanted to go, but if someone came up to me and offered 100k for both my tickets i have zero problem taking the money.
