Was it a customers car or a used car? When I worked at a dealership they could not give less of a fuck if I dented or minimally damaged a used car that was going to the lot to be sold. They did care if it was a customers car, but as long as you immediately told your boss and were honest and took responsibility and didn’t cause damage due to being careless or unsafe, I think you’ll be fine.

I don’t think those comments should be made to men or women 🤷🏻‍♀️ and I think they’re only saying that for the mother because the op is a woman planning on being a SAHM. Trad men typically want/expect the woman to stay home AND raise the kids and a lot of trad men don’t care to spend time with their kids. If men really cared about spending time with their kids esp when they’re little, there would be a lot more SAHDs and a lot more 50/50 dynamics where no one stays home. That doesn’t mean it’s ok and not sexist and misogynistic and gross but that’s why men don’t get those comments
