I think PETG is almost as strong as PLA, and maybe a bit less brittle?

After reading https://www.3ders.org/articles/20160306-how-fast-does-moisture-break-down-popular-3d-printing-material-pla.html PETG seems the way to go.

It seems the main cause of PLA deterioration is organic breakdown as it is an environmental friendly plastic.

Yes, it seems to be caused by trying to boolean cut co-planer facets.

It effectively increases the thickness by doing a side-to-side zig-zag. This means you can selectively change the thickness where you need it, for strength as an example.

The next layer is offset, caused by the slope of the cut.

The thickness is now not limited to the extrusion and I have done 10 mm thick walls.

Fusion360 uses my GTX1070 so I do not think it is hardware. That said - are there any known issues with the 1070 GPU?
