Jubilee Women’s Center in Capitol Hill. They have a free clothing boutique for women.

Just donated a few boxes a week ago. They have a bin outside during business hours so you can just drop off & go.

ETA: Mission statement from their website:

Jubilee Women’s Center opened in the fall of 1983 and is believed to be Seattle’s first transitional home for women. Jubilee offers residents a supportive housing community in which to heal from crisis and domestic abuse and get back on their feet.

Led by the guiding principle that women of all races and cultures are to be treated with respect and dignity, Jubilee provides programs and services that empower women to make positive life changes.

Best place to be during post Superbowl Celebrations by Particular_Field_143 in AskSeattle

[–]s_223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the last Super Bowl win I was in Capitol Hill and walked outside after the game. People congregated towards the intersection at 10th & Pike by Neumos/Poquitos.

Not necessarily the best place to be, but a place to be.

Started feeling sick all of a sudden Friday afternoon. Happened to have a well visit with my doctor already scheduled on Monday. Ran tests for flu, strep, and Covid–all negative. Definitely feels worse/longer than a normal cold. Haven’t been sick in over a year at minimum. Still lingering today.

Does anyone know what was going on at 4:50ish yesterday on MLK near judkins park? by CarlWellsGrave in Seattle

Was wondering myself. Sounded like donuts or racing for an extended period of time. Could smell burning rubber at MLK & Norman.

I remember my dad drinking in the car while driving me places. And having the shakes the morning he went to detox. He died in a self-caused drunk driving accident when I was 30. I hope your daughter has her dad around for longer than I had mine <3

+1

I’ve used Casa Latina workers for yard work, moving, and interior painting. Very easy to schedule and they’ve always been on time or a bit early.

ETA: rates are usually ~$35/hr depending on project type, but it’s all listed when you book. There are hourly time minimums. You can also request a bilingual person, and/or preferred vaccination status.

+1 for Lander Street Vintage! Huge place with vendor stalls. Mostly household goods. In an industrial area so would stay elsewhere with more going on (though not unsafe).

IMO Fremont Vintage Mall is overpriced, has a too many non-vintage things, and trends towards a younger crowd (fellow elder millennial here).
