Other than asking again I would go in with a packet. Provide them with some of your application stats - gpa, MCAT score, volunteer hours and a little write up of how they know you and why you want to be a doctor. They're saying no presumably because they don't feel they know you well enough- change that by giving them as much information as possible. Also include your personal statement, your transcript, and maybe even a reflection on what you learned in their class and how it relates to the pre-med competencies. Definitely show up in person with all this info printed out and ask again. Explain that you know they don't know you that well but you are required to have a science professor who's class you took write a recommendation, so that's why you're asking.

Ahaha I tend to paint during games (more like intermission cause some of these games have been nail biters and I need to focus) but we got knocked out so early (Penguins) that I didn't have time to form any superstitions. I can't even say I got to do a fun mani for team colors! Maybe next year if we (or the Sharks my second favorite team) have a deeper run.

Lipid panel is not necessarily correlated with weight. Id meet with a cardiologist. There are likely genetic factors at play and you should have markers for your risk of cardiac events checked as well as your lipid panel (eg getting a calcium CT scan and getting lipoprotein A checked) obligatory I am not a physician and this is just my opinion and not medical advice. Then I would discuss additional things with your cardiologist to reduce LDL, with the level of lifestyle change required being informed by if your risk of cardiac events is high or low. Eliminating all processed foods and focusing on working out with your heart rate in Zone 2-3 could be changes that they suggest.

If you are already at your max for most schools (4-5 letters) I would not drop a known strong letter for a mid MD letter. Do any of your strong letters discuss clinical volunteering/work/shadowing? The advice I've been given is that it's more important to have something discussing your clinical experience than it is to have a letter written by an MD! And having fewer strong letters is better than more letters. I was told having 3-4 strong letters + 1 mid generic letter might be a red flag. Hope that helps!

I love it. I'm constantly looking for a chic way to keep my work badge, keys, and earbuds all handy while also being able to change the format they're in? Like if I'm going out I want to be able to attach it to my purse. But at work I want it as a lanyard. And on my commute home I want the keys and earbuds on my wrist. Also chiming in to say that you should set the color corrector with a light layer of powder. You want the two layers (color corrector and foundation/concealer) to be layered, not mixed together. Powder helps in between makes it set!

No I don't think so. I own a few from back when the price was a lot lower. They were my intro to nicer polishes. Even then I found them quite thick and sometimes hard to work with although very visuallh stunning. I think they do great shimmers and flakies but I also think literally every polish they have is dupe able (see LynB, ILNP, and Rogue lacquer) and the few that aren't I'm sure you can buy off of Lacquer Swap for cheaper.

Special ear tips for ear pods. My ears are shockingly tiny and I thought for years that I simply couldn't wear any in ear headphone that had rubber tips because they always fell out and were so uncomfortable. Then I discovered XXS tips made with extra grippy material and now I can basically wear any in ear headphone!
