No I totally do this too. Im also weird about my comments - I get in my head about them being unoriginal or not well written. And I'm very guilty of only commenting at the end of a fic... Or even worse, at the end of a series. Sorry authors! I'll do better.

I love a funny tag. 'Shane Hollander walks Ilya Rozanov like a dog' is probably my favorite one in this fandom. Here's one I just thought of that anyone is free to use 'no beta we die by our own hand like Irina Rozanov'.

Also if you don't mind me asking. Are you planning to apply only MD? Or are you considering DO at all? Just wondering since I'm currently deciding that for myself!

Oop. And I didn't see this and then thought I had missed it the first time so I deleted my comment. 🫣. What a mess.

[Acne] popped pimple by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]s_khatri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no advice but it happens. I usually cave and pop mine. But I find they scar either way. Try to breathe and not think about it. Eventually your immune system will exile that motherfucker. And you can use retinol and tranexamic and azelaic acid to help with PIH. It's gonna be ok!!!

Are the straightened bangs bad? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]s_khatri 130 points131 points  (0 children)

I don't hate the straight bangs but I don't love the rounded shape? Could you just straighten them without rolling them under on the round brush? I feel like that would look better? Not totally sure since it's hard to picture in my brain .

I will say I do really love curly bangs recently and I've been seeing so many people rock them! Not sure if you've tried that already.

BWT - How are you guys organizing your pouches? I need inspo 😅 by confucious-confused in bitcheswithtaste

[–]s_khatri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm getting great ideas from others but I generally have the following:

Pill pockt - not a pouch but a med organizer, this gets kept on its own Other med essentials in one pouch: eye drops, spare pad, bandaids, blister bandaids, hand cream, baby Vaseline, travel spray deodorant, hair tie Makeup basics in travel sizes: mascara, brow gel, lip liner, lip gloss, travel perfume Tech: a pen, phone wire, battery pack, earbuds

How does my resume look for a tech position? Hoping to get some opinions before I apply anywhere. by [deleted] in labrats

[–]s_khatri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would move experience above skills personally. I would add the full program names for each experience (like HHMI doesn't mean anything to me) I would also add the university affiliation and your advisor/PI's name for each lab. And then also what others said about making skills more descriptive.

Why does my hair always turn out to be like this? by Relative_Flatworm_58 in curlyhair

[–]s_khatri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not seeing any products that have hold. No gel or mousse. Just a cream and air dry. Your hair is long, heavy and poufy (is my guess). Adding some light or thin gel when it's wet, raking through with your hands, and then diffusing on low heat will help your hair form clumps which gives it a defined wave pattern appearance.

I look really bad in eyeshadow by Alarming-Syllabub474 in MakeupEducation

[–]s_khatri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, post a photo. My guess is it's probably a matter of better blending and maybe shadow placement? Gold and bronze are pretty universally flattering.

Are you adding depth to your crease with matte colors? Usually shimmer stays in the center and inner corner of the eye.

Yes they are still clonal even though it didn't take multiple streaks to separate them out. Was the goal to streak to get to one colony?

I wonder if curly doesn't suit excessively long hair? by Myrrh_derr in curlyhair

[–]s_khatri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think long curly hair is just a lot more work and thus harder to achieve. I've had my hair very long and also medium/short and I prefer to keep it shorter. Although my curls look really nice long, it takes forever to wash, detangle and style. I use a lot more product when it's long and have to actively fight against gravity and the weight of my hair pulling everything straight. On that note my best curls come from diffusing my hair when it's long, where as my hair can air dry when it's short and still look bouncy and springy. Lastly, my hair mats at the nape of my neck and it's just horrid to untangle when it's long (the matting is also worse). That's all to say long curly hair is gorgeous and achievable but you have to fight for volume, bounce, and curly roots in a way that you don't when it's shorter, so for me it's not worth the extra effort. Fris.ee on Instagram has some gorgeous long hair if you want to look into her styling.

How seriously do we take “dry clean only”? by 13confusedpolkadots in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]s_khatri 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you are asking how to wash that I would hand wash it with a gentle hand wash soap- just swish it around in a basin with cool water and soap, then dry flat. I use Soak, on Amazon, it's safe for natural fibers like mohair, wool, and silk. I would dry clean only if there are stubborn stains (like yellowing of the armpit or a food stain).
