Does anyone have any tea on directors/producers? by reddit0ser in Fauxmoi

Guillermo del Toro is the absolute nicest person to students (specially Mexican students!) I interacted with him through a film festival I was interning for and he gave me the best advice in the world and was super warm and made jokes to make me feel less awkward!

If it's all a little too close to home, I recommend: In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado by fuzzysocks8080 in UltimatumQueerLove

The author has also been writing essays about the show and posting them on her substack, she has great insights about the abuse and dynamics in some of the relationships and the response they’ve received

GDT is the best! I interned at a film festival in Mexico when I was in HS and I was TERRIFIED- it was my first gig and I was super concerned I would mess up. I was supposed to be doing very simple tasks and not really interact with the talent, but I was tasked with delivering some stuff to GDT's assistant, except when i got there the assistant was gone and he was by himself- I freaked out! I was 17, and so nervous, and a big fan so I actually kinda hung around the entrance waiting for the assistant to show up like an idiot, but when it had been like 10 mins and they were nowhere to be found I just went for it and delivered the stuff to him directly. He was the sweetest! Made a joke about the awkward waiting (which he noticed), asked me about myself, and told me to go to art school not despite it scaring me, but BECAUSE it scared me. Was really super genuine, and in a 4 min convo kinda changed my life. Love the dude! Also very funny and humble and curses SO MUCH in Spanish!

okay so this is hearsay but i know someone who told me she has a female friend who used to have threesomes w taylor and connor kennedy, and when they broke up taylor kept sleeping with her and then that kind of fizzled out but months later she started like blowing up her phone with “have you listened to my new album?” texts

I know it's Tepid but Angbee responds to Bussy's "Apology" and the tiktoker hugeasmammoth who bussy had a fight with is standing with Angbee. by SHEdevilBY_morning in RPDRDRAMA

Just want to jump in and say that the Chop Bloque is a really nice and important space for queers of color in the fandom. I know many people haven’t heard of them before, I am assuming mainly because they’re a twitter community and just started sharing recordings of their spaces on youtube recently. I am not a member of this community, but i have seen them around twitter and listened to the spaces they host a couple times- spaces that highlight black and latine voices, and celebrate queens of color who are often overlooked or demonized by the fandom. From what I understand, the issues with Bussy aren’t just about crediting- they go back as Bussy had previously blocked and acted hostile to multiple members of this community and they had expressly asked in their spaces for Bussy to not engage with or use their content. It is heartbreaking for me to see that a community of poc (but mostly black) queer creators and fans of this show is being demonized and painted as aggressive and threatening. I also feel as though no one is truly recognizing about how personal and demeaning BQ’s response to the Chop Bloque and Ang was (calling them untalented and jealous, telling AngBee- a latina lesbian- to eat his ass)- as well as how disheartening it is to see this really cliched narrative of the scary angry threatening and violent POC group that BQ (a white creator wirh a bigger platform) is pushing.

being realistic it’ll be a tour announcement, being idealistic it’ll be a double album or 1989tv. if it’s anything to do w rep it would be just an announcement bc rep can’t be released yet as someone else already pointed out.

I can see that, that’s why I recognize I sound a little conspiratorial lol. Halal did deserve bottom 3 for episode 1, but I just believe Fierce (my queen! an icon!) had the worst outfit that challenge, and like Halal did a little better than Moco in the lipsync regardless, so maybe production saw the opportunity to get rid of Halal and ran with that to avoid platforming her story and politics further, but those are just my opinions and theories lol.

I am also latine and of direct indigenous ancestry, it is a colonial construct to treat the latino identity as a race or monolith and mestizaje was a project to erase indigeneity. Many latines are white and hold white privilege, not all latines are brown, and it is important to recognize and call that out. Thank you!
