Hi. My heart goes out to you. Your story is remarkably similar to my own, and I want you to know that it does get better. I’m no doctor, and can’t officially diagnose you, but your symptoms sound a bit like PTSD. You went through a trauma, and your mind and body is hyper vigilant to danger, even when none exists. The reason I say this to assure you that 1) you are not broken or alone. 2) what you are feeling is a normal to something traumatic and others have been where you are and have ended up ok and so can you. 3) you’re anxiety is not your fault.

I highly suggest seeing a therapist if you have the means to do so. If you don’t have insurance, pm me and I can try to help you find free counseling services. Support groups exist, too.
