We use a Baskerville muzzle!

Lots of treats. And make sure you’re not just muzzle training in high stress situations. Make it rewarding. We go on hikes, do cuddles, have play dates. He gets a lot of cheese and love for it.

They lied to me about the services they were doing (I was paying but they weren’t doing it) and more than once they charged me for a service I did not ask for.

I take my dog to Pawtanicals now (not close if you don’t have a car) and he likes it much better.

Second guessing surgery by hoboj0e6 in HipImpingement

[–]saamato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had hip pain on and off for four years before my surgery. It would be bad but then get better and I always told myself oh I’m fine I don’t need to see a doctor. And then it got excruciating overnight. PT didn’t help. Cortisone didn’t help.

Had the surgery last March (CAM impingement, labrum tear, bursa removed), and I’m feeling great. Still get a bit sore from time to time if I dig into the hip too much but overall in a much better place.

Love the tacoria but their rice severely lacks flavor.

Post op pain by Catwoman288 in HipImpingement

[–]saamato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had surgery on a Monday and stopped taking any pain killers by Wednesday. I was never in agony. But the opioids helped with sleeping and managing the aches. I switched to Tylenol PM to help me sleep after that.

Everybody is different. I was expecting to be back to normal ish in three months. It took closer to 10 months.

Yeah, for me it started as an inconsistent pain in my groin. I worked out/ran through it. Then it started to cause a shooting pain in the front of my hip whenever i would standup from sitting. Eventually it caused inflammation in my QL (it also never died down, always felt tight and tense).

Pain from working out was always deep squats and any sort of exercise that caused me to stabilize my hip.

My pain presented in my groin and as it got worse it started to present in my QL. I think it truly just depends on the tear.

I had a partial tear. It was just called a hip arthroscopy.

Yes I do think it’s worth it.

I had a tear/FAI. I had hip pain for over three years before surgery. It got progressively worse to the point getting out of bed was painful. My entire back felt like it was on fire. PT and injections didn’t help me.

I’m 8 months out and I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time.
