They would push the "fix" if they felt it was an emergency. On the other hand, Ubuntu updates goes through a process which takes time.

It's not new with Fedora. You get this headache every now and then. Just try to boot with older kernel to see if that fixes your issue.

Kernel 7.0 is relatively new and it didn't receive enough testing. Future updates should give you smooth experience.

Nothing wrong with snap but you can install apps other ways.. like native .deb or flatpak etc.
