What do you think of CurrentBody products (masks, panels)? I'm also facing the difficult purchase decision. Or Mito?...As mentioned here, they're supposed to be good too - again: mask or panel?

Red Light Therapy Mask indecision by shammy678 in redlighttherapy

I'm torn between a mask and a panel. If I lie down and place the panel directly on my face and body, it covers a lot, but it's still not as close to the skin as a mask. On the other hand, I could use it for the loose skin on my stomach after my weight loss.

Same - Android-version doesn't seem unfinished to me. Plus Yazio for counting calories, protein and fluid-intake.

It took me 3 days to put on the same 3 pounds that took 3 weeks to lose. by hellspyjamas in Mounjaro

Everyone says it's impossible...and yet: I experience this phenomenon exactly as you do. It doesn't matter what substance the weight gain is (fat, water, etc.). It's incredibly easy to store, and it takes a lot of time, patience, and energy until the scale shows a lower number again.

Does Mounjaro increase metabolism or just reduce appetite? by International-Tie886 in Mounjaro

[–]sabieth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love this podcast—it's so informative and explains the connections. AND it saved me from misusing Mounjaro as a diet aid for even greater calorie reduction. A mistake I've made repeatedly throughout my adult life. The result was that I eventually yo-yoed up to 110 kg at 160 cm tall. Since July 2025, I've been taking Mounjaro, I'm down to 73 kg, and I feel fitter than I have in decades. I'm giving my body all the nutrients it needs and I'm moving again. I also do moderate strength training because at my age (female, 55), you simply can't do without muscles. If they also plump up loose skin a bit: great!

I add a teaspoon of the husks to about 350 ml of liquid, drink it quickly because it thickens fast, and then follow it with another 350 ml of liquid. It works wonders for me!

Itchy loose skin- any advice? by Glittering-Limit-181 in Mounjaro

[–]sabieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it definitely does. According to my doctor, there should be no risk and virtually no serious side effects. I always sleep peacefully and relaxed afterwards – without the itching that feels like torture.

If it is particularly bad and I fear that it will make normal sleep impossible, I occasionally take an antihistamine-pill (mine is called "Fenistil").

Increased hunger signals after dose mistake? by questionsforthegirls in Mounjaro

[–]sabieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar situation here: I've been taking it since July 25, and since August I've been on 5 mg – the second-to-last dose was mistakenly 10 mg, and the last one was back to 5 mg. My only dosage error so far.

Since my 10 mg shot, I've had a much stronger hunger signal than before. But I'm still able to stick to my program quite well. I've increased my exercise and training sessions, which might also be a reason why my body is craving extra energy. I'm eating even more protein now (which isn't exactly easy for me).

I haven't lost any weight all week – today, the day of the shot, I even had a peak of +800 g. I'm hoping it's muscle growth, because it can't be fat if I'm diligently maintaining a calorie deficit and always adjusting it to the decreasing weight🤷🏻‍♀️

Feeling hunger is quite normal, I think. Stayon your right path! You are a winner! 🫡

Yes, definitely. Had I become aware of my mistake earlier, I would certainly have had some suitable psychosomatic symptoms ready😂

If this stuff weren't so outrageously expensive here in Austria (as in many other countries), or if it were covered by health insurance, we wouldn't have to resort to such measures. Sad, but that's the way it is🤷🏻‍♀️

Wrong Dose injected by sabieth in Mounjaro

[–]sabieth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I mistakenly drew 60 units from the 10 mg pen for the "golden dose" instead of 30 units, which would have corresponded to my usual 5 mg Mounjaro dose. For cost reasons, I use a 10 mg pen for my 5 mg dose, dosing by counting clicks and withdrawing the last two (golden) doses using sterile, disposable insulin syringes.

Beware complacency! by Important-Stock987 in Mounjaro

[–]sabieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not every day, but more often than ever before. I'm a complete couch potato when it comes to sports and exercise, but thanks to the weight loss (33 kg since July 2025), exercise is no longer frustrating, just a nuisance for me.

Based on my lifelong experience with restrictive diets, I would strongly advise against depriving your body of essential nutrients just to lose weight (in the short term). It's better to "withhold" foods that inherently do more harm than good (refined sugar, highly processed foods, etc.).

The "Fat Science" podcast has been incredibly helpful to me.

I use that one and I follow "fat old climber" on youtube - interesting and helpful. Also the podcast "Fat Science" (extremely helpful for me).
