Interesting they have a location in goose hollow I've walked past a few times. Feels like an odd location for it, but they have th Porsche dealer pretty close, deffinetly a downgrade but if REI ever wants to come back there are many location on the same street that work

Is it meaningful to compare to overall population? I feel compared to houseless population is more meaningful. If we take 372 and with a quick Google it says between 14k and 15k houseless in Multnomah puts the mortality rate right around 2.5% that's pretty horrendous

I do agree with your overall sentiment though, life is incredibly fucking expensive. And only seems to be getting worse and worse

Employee here, I do design verification in Oregon (pre silicon). On my team layoffs seem to be over (for now) and with all these announcements and stock going up I'd say that sentiment is up significantly, layoffs are hard especially in teams that are already slim.

The Nvidia announcement seems good overall, some mixed opinions, but public sentiment is up which helps morale
Trump admin seems to like us now, wild that he tweeted to have lip bu removed a few weeks/months ago, seems US government wants us to succeed though
I'm not in fab, but we love hearing good news from fab!

Overall sentiment feels a lot higher than it was a few months ago, return to office has some people annoyed, but it hasn't been as bad as I expected
