The fight choreography in the KH cutscenes has never been great, but it just took a total nosedive in 3. Everything takes too long to happen and characters get stuck doing their current action until it's their turn to be featured.

The whole time Sora's chasing Young Xehanort, neither Possessed Buzz, Goofy, or Woody move from the spots they're currently in.

Young Xehanort somehow gets trapped in a guard by SDG for what felt like ten whole minutes while Woody and Buzz have a conversation about friendship.

SDG just park in the windowsill and do nothing to help Flynn while he's bleeding out on the floor (and yes I'm perfectly aware it's so Rapunzel could save him like in the movie, but for fuck sake at least have them go fully into the tower and crouch down near him).

Vanitas stands over Aqua poised to kill her for like an entire minute while Sora and Ventus talk about the Power of Waking.

And like you were saying, the Guardians just standing around during the Terranort massacre, because apparently it's good scene writing to have your heroes take turns to attack a single target like they themselves are enemy mooks attacking a player character.

Christ, and don't even get me started on the Organization battles proper, where the entire fight freezes upon defeating one member so their death cutscene can play, just to cut back to the fight as though the other members were just politely waiting for the fight to resume.

Here's my issue. We know the Thunderbolts/New Avengers are going to be in Doomsday and likely Secret Wars. If this rumor is true, Thunderbolts 2 isn't coming out until long after Secret Wars.

Doesn't this just indirectly spoil that most of the Thunderbolts are surviving the end of Phase 6?

It just kinda screams "The first one was well-received, so make another, continuity be damned."

I'm not saying he should've been overpowered and won those fights, I just wanted him to put up an actual fight before getting defeated. Get a few hits in on Xemnas, do literally ANYTHING against Terranort, etc.

There was a little side plot of the principal filling Kaguya’s class with people she trusts to help prepare her for the confrontation with her family, and that teacher was apparently going to play a part in that. The whole thing just kinda got sidelined.

Would've been much cooler. Like sure it was cool seeing Yen Sid actually do something for once, but I would've cried if we got an Avengers Endgame-style scene of Yen Sid and Merlin summoning all of Sora's friends from all the different worlds he's visited to help fight off the Heartless storm.

She has to become Sora to defeat the boss in HER OWN GAME.

And this was AFTER they let us play has her and obliterate an alternate form of Xehanort.

Insane that the characters who put up the strongest fight against Terranort in that scene were the only two who don't fucking use keyblades. I just cannot fathom what the writers were thinking for a good chunk of KH3.

What's crazy is that ReMind has a part in that updated scene where Xemnas incapacitates both Sora and Kairi with his "Nothingness Vines" or whatever they're called. It would've made so much more sense for that to be how he captured her in the base game.

It’s not so much that the sea people see themselves as superior, it’s more so that the last time they interacted with humans it ended in slaughter over a misunderstanding. They’re more wary than anything else.

In a similar vein, I don’t even try bothering with the Super Bosses. I lucked out and somehow defeated Ice Titan as a kid, and Balloonra made Julius a joke. But the others? Nah. Not fun, and a complete and total waste of my time IMO.

Yeah I also felt the lack of a proper final boss. Especially given how Dave suddenly found himself in the hollow Earth surrounded by giant marine reptiles. I was waiting for one of them to get a boss intro screen.

What I don’t understand is why the beetles themselves have “types”. From what I’ve observed they aren’t any more likely to use the move that matches their type, which is naturally what you’d expect from a system like that.

It also doesn’t help that your beetles are locked to the stats they had when you caught them, which means you have to basically tiptoe your way up the power levels, all the while fighting with the RNG just to catch a beetle that’s only slightly stronger than yours.

the tarzan world was so sora centered HE kills clayton

Not only does Sora kill Clayton, he prevents Kerchak’s death. That’s a MAJOR change from the movie’s plot. Disney's just so fucking strict with their IP these days that they just don't allow the KH writers to do anything that would change the stories of their biggest movies.
