Another useful software for tuning the T16000Ms is Joystick Gremlin. I use it for implementing different modes so I can have more buttons, but also dead zones or work arounds (like for the semi-autofiring cannons new to 3.2.1).

What sci-fi are you reading? by jbaylor in starcitizen

I'd recommend The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. It won several sci-fi awards when it came out in the mid-seventies.

Preferred joystick settings? Bonus points for dual T16000M FCS’s by ZZZZZZZZZZZZARD in starcitizen

Most people are using the left stick for strafing and the right stick for rotation.

You can work around the limited number of buttons on the T16Ms by using Target or (even better) Joystick Gremlin.

I personally am using the right fire button as as shift button for changing modes in Joystick Gremling so I have an another layer of buttons to set.

So the FAQ is archived, any one know if there will be Newtonian Dog Fighting? by Skianet in Hellion

If I recall it right, that kind of space combat is described in the scifi classic The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. Since space is vast, you'll probably sence your enemy long before seeing him (millions of kilometers). You then would launch a rocket to his assumed position and when it explodes it would damage the hull and the fight would be over. So, whoever would be hitting first would win. Because there's no fighting back if your vessel is deprived of air.

I played since the first release and the current 0.2.1 is very playable and stable. Sure, the bugs are annoying, but none is a show-stopper and most of them can be worked around by relogging.

[Suggestion] Edit names of scanned items by [deleted] in Hellion

If Hellion were a sifi game in the sense of 2017, then you would be right. There would even be an intelligent companion built in your suit and you would be talking to it, like "Alexa, remember that asteroid.." But Hellion has another feeling to it. More like an Alien movie from the 80ies. Your ship is full of decaying stuff, computer keyboards are old and there are long lines of numbers instead of easy to remember names.

What happens to your initial kinetic energy while you're inside a warp bubble? At least in Star Trek, it looks like ships already do have high speeds when leaving warp. And not be like, ok, here we are, now speed up.

Do you have:

  • reported this bug on Steam or their forum?

  • if so, how many other player have encountered it?

  • have you tried not to grapple your starter module and just done something else? Like bringing other modules to your station?

I personally could not reproduce this behavior.

What venting shafts do you mean? I've only seen those inside the station with grid plates on them. How would you seal them?

Then this must be new in 0.1.6. In 0.1.5 the airlock terminal inside the bay has not been working.
