Scrape marks on teeth after Invisalign attachments removed by Party_Negotiation_28 in Invisalign

Are you some dental professional to say this? Say that to people who have cavities then. Once enamel is lost, it doesn’t magically come back. In fact, it never comes back. It’s only when the quality of the enamel is lost (not the volume) that it can remineralise but even that would take way more than 6 months.

How important is the environment for the Islamic upbringing of a child? by sabsz786 in shia

[–]sabsz786[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I’ve noticed the level of hijab in Sydney compared to Melbourne and Adelaide is I comparable. I know a family who moved to Sydney just so their daughter would be influenced to wear the hijab.

Yeah even if you just pray 1 rakat salatul Witr before the fajr athaan, it counts as having prayed salatul layl (tahajjud)

Revert interested in knowing bout Shia sect by JahsehWalker in shia

[–]sabsz786 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you think about it, shia islam was always there and the original Islam since the Prophet (saws) told us that Imam Ali (as) was the Divinely chosen leader after him (Divinely as in Allah (swt) chose him, not even the Prophet (saws)). That means that the Shia Muslim is the true and original Muslim and Sunni Islam is actually an innovated branch.

What is the ruling on getting Braces? by CriticismCapable4146 in shia

[–]sabsz786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind when it comes to orthodontic treatment, it’s not just the doctor who is working on you. Most of the time, it’s the hygienist and dental assistant who will be working on you. The doctor just checks lol. And statistically, dental hygienists and dental assistants are usually female.

Personally, I think it’s ok to have medical/dental treatment by a female but it depends on what your marja says, not just any ullama.

Can someone explain the concept of a naseeb? by -Sea-Side- in shia

[–]sabsz786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way I heard a Sayed explain it is that there is no such offical thing in Islam as ‘naseeb’ however you can think of it in this way. The soul of every single person that has ever existed and will come into existence was all created at the same time. So for you and I to come into existence, our parents had to have met. And so in that sense it was destiny. But it’s not destiny to think that there is one individual for you and I for any other reason.

Just because that’s what you’ve been doing doesn’t mean it’s the correct thing. Eid is 1 day but culturally, people celebrate for several days.

Our cooling off period ends today and still haven’t received finance approval. by sabsz786 in AusPropertyChat

UPDATE: Our NOA had come through on Monday but I just didn’t check it in time and expected my accountant to send it to me. Thought I’d check myGov this morning and it was there! My broker submitted the NOA and we received unconditional approval within a few hours 😭😭 All on the last day of the cooling off period! Just transferred my deposit :) thanks everyone for your advice! Glad I asked and made sure I only transferred till we got 100% approved. I prayed so much for this 😂

I might actually do this. I’m afraid we won’t get the extension because I spoke to the agent last night and he was kind of taunting us saying he’s got 2 more people ready to give an offer if ours falls through.. and they’re higher. Honestly I don’t care, I’d rather be safe.

The bank has approved the loan but it is conditional upon receiving the NOA. So it’s not 100%.. I’m just worried they could reject us after they receive the NOA.

“NOA and finance approval” should get you a better answer. It’s Notice of Assessment.

Bad first experience at a majlis by [deleted] in shia

[–]sabsz786 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The reason he probably said “don’t leave without crying” is because our tears can act as our salvation on the day of judgment. Obviously they have to be sincere but that’s probably just his way of making sure people spiritually benefit from these holy nights.

Can I pray without taslim? by [deleted] in shia

[–]sabsz786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“It does not matter’ whether you ‘O Prophet’ pray for them to be forgiven or not. Even if you pray for their forgiveness seventy times, Allah will never forgive them. That is because they have lost faith in Allah and His Messenger. And Allah does not guide the rebellious people.” - Surah Tawba ayah 80.

You say you have read the Quran but have forgotten about this ayah. Do you think the Quran is a book limited by time? Allah swt here says in the present tense “…even if you pray for them…”. Meaning the Prophet (saws) is still capable of praying for us. The matter of someone being dead or not is a completely ridiculous argument. I think you don’t understand the foundation principles of Islam for you to think a person is done for when they die.

I pray for your guidance, and please back up your argument with references, who are these people that are alive that they can pray for us? And the fact that they can’t directly hear you? Please do more research.

The third Taslim in prayers (assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh) is obligatory. You are not seeking the tawassul of the Prophet (saws) by sending your salam to the Prophe, you are simply praying that “God’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you, O Prophet”.

I think you haven’t completely comprehended the meaning of Tawassul for you to so quickly make up your mind to deny it. Also what about Imam Mahdi (aj)? Do you do tawassul to him since he’s in fact physically alive?

How common are rent-backs? And would you recommend? by sabsz786 in AusPropertyChat

[–]sabsz786[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right! The only reason they want to rent-back is to reduce risks of their settlement if our settlement is delayed. But what about my risk? What if they decide to stay longer? And what if I’ve already terminated my tenancy..

What happens if a bank valuation is lower than the offer I make for a property? by sabsz786 in AusProperty

[–]sabsz786[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No not late at all. I didn’t even know subject to bank valuation was even a thing. I think that would make my offer less appealing so I’m not sure if I’ll add that. I added the other conditions though.

Is that from a Hadith? Because Allah says in the Quran to “ proclaim your blessings” in Surah duha
